Why do you state Talkie is the only app that is a walkie talkie on both Bluetooth and WIFI when there has been one around longer than yours called, Walkie Talkie of all things? http://domain17.net/walkietalkie/ You have a glitzier site but you’ve shot the heck out of your cred by first lying about your status and that of your competition, next by being being vagabond and non-substantial. Living in a camper is not a good recommendation. Your site almost had me until the deceit unraveled.
Hi Steve! Wow, that was a brilliant rant!
For the record, I did have a look at the other Walkie Talkie apps and couldn’t find any that were dual Bluetooth and Wi-Fi like Talkie. The app you mention is included in that category: If you read its description, you’ll see there’s no mention of Bluetooth.
Thanks for the kind words about the site, we do try, deceit or no.
If I may add my 2 cents… the application mentioned by Steve is pretty old, has a very ugly UI (does it even work in Snow Leopard without Rosetta??), and doesn’t allow the smooth toolbar integration provided by Talkie for Mac.
Thanks, Alex ;-)
Just heard about your Talkie Mac app on the Mac Geek Gab podcast and I was so excited to get my hands on a copy, now I’m quite disappointed that it’s not available and there’s not way for me to even use it from my Macbook Pro to my iMac downstairs without a license or serial number. I’m more than happy to pay you $5 or even $10. What are the chances you can get me a code so I can unlock this little gem. I won’t ask for future support or features, I promise. :-)
Just sent you an email =)
Michael, I also just heard about your app on the Mac Geek Gab. I would also love a copy and willing to pay. Thanks
Cheers for the interest, Jamie – you’re making me regret decommissioning the app, now ;-) I just emailed you a licence key
hi there! I would like to get a copy of this app (Licensed), but sadly I am not able to pay for it online, I am not 18, :( I wish I could get this app :’( It looks amazing,
Just heard about about Talkie for Mac app on Mac Geek Gab and I was hoping to use your nice software, but it seems that there is no way for me to use it from my Macbook Pro to child’s Mac Mini the without a license or serial number? I’m more than happy to pay if works. Is there a chances i could get a license code so I could try your program? As Segovia said, I neither won’t ask for future support or features, I promise! Thank you!
