I have been looking for this sort of thing for a while! Our kids can't hear us at the other end of the house. However, it needs to be able to wake a computer that is asleep. Hyper3

Hello!

That's certainly an interesting proposal - theoretically speaking, it should be possible under certain conditions, but I think a feature like this is a little outside Talkie's purview, at least for now.

There's some good news though: If you're connected via Ethernet, you should be able to use a free app called WakeOnLan (http://www.macworld.com/article/140422/2009/05/wakeonlan.html), which will give the sleeping computer a poke and wake it up - assuming the remote computer supports it, and has 'Wake for Ethernet network access' enabled in 'Energy Saver' preferences in System Preferences.  It looks like waking over Wi-Fi isn't supported by this app, though - I'm not sure how that would work.

Cheers!

Sounds like a great idea. Kids? Not so sure about that.
