Crash Reporting

Sometimes, crashes happen. We know - it sucks, and we want to help.

When an app crashes, it leaves behind a bit of 'black box' info that we can use to determine how and why the crash happened, and fix it for next time.

If you'd like to help our apps get better, then we'd love to see your crash logs. Here's how to find and send them to us:

  1. Open the Settings app
  2. Find Privacy, then Analytics, Analytics Data
  3. Look for entries with the app name, with the date/time that matches when you saw the crash.
  4. Select the entry, then select all the text by holding your finger at the top, then dragging the blue handle all the way to the bottom.
  5. Tap “Share” on the callout that appears, and then paste the contents into an email to [email protected].

If the above technique doesn't work for you, try the old fashioned way:
  1. First, sync with your computer.
  2. If you're on a Mac: Open up your home folder, then navigate to ~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/MobileDevice/DEVICE_NAME
    If you're on Windows Vista/7: Open up C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Apple computer\Logs\CrashReporter/MobileDevice/DEVICE_NAME
  3. If you're on Windows XP: Open up C:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\Apple computer\Logs\CrashReporter/DEVICE_NAME
  4. You'll see some files that should start with the name of the app - select these, zip them up, and email them over to [email protected].

Thank you!
